The Front

Description

This painting emphasised the pleasure, roughness and variety in nature. It was done as one of a series of eleven paintings, all the same size a nd view but depicting very different moods and feelings of the same scene through colour and expression.

This particular painting is of an angry front approaching from the south, ready to spoil a nice day. The contrasting use of light and darkness for a more dramatic effect.
