I have harboured a passion for creating things ever since I was young, whether it’s art, architecture or design.

I have harboured a passion for creating things ever since I was young, whether it’s art, architecture or design. Painting is a particular interest of mine – I’ve always been inspired by Turner’s way with painting the light, and by Montague Dawson’s stunning seascapes, which has led me to explore the excitement, colour, drama, serenity and seductiveness of the sea in my art.

As an artist, I was fortunate enough to win several prizes at college and design school, which then presented me with the option of furthering my studies overseas as a painter. However, as I had a young family to support, I chose instead to pursue a career in design.

Throughout my career, I have been able to utilise my design nous in a range of projects. From overseeing landscape projects for city gardens and large estates in both New Zealand and Australia, to orchestrating the construction of innovative houses and buildings, my skills as an artist and designer has allowed me to push boundaries in various fields. I am often asked to design the impossible; to solve conundrums – and it is this unique skillset that has led me to solve the ultimate challenge: to create a simple, stylish solution to transport, protect and present artwork and products.
